A terrible weekend

By Patrick, March 8, 2010 11:01 pm

This got to be the weekend that I’ve spent the most money, not that I’ve not spent money previously. On Saturday, I discovered that Bobby, my dog, was attacked by ticks. It was really terrible as you can see the ticks on this body and whenever I tried to get rid of it, it just seems never ending. I quickly send him to vet where he stayed there one night for “holiday”. I’m glad that he is recovering, though there are still some of him (we’ve spotted some), but with the proper guidance given, I’m sure he will be tick free soon.

Then on Sunday, Ethan was happily recording on my iPhone. He got so excited that my phone “flew”, landed on the floor and guess what, there was a really bad crack (spider web kind). The touch screen was still alright, but the glass thingy just shattered. What was the damage like, $350 and I’ve got a one to one exchange at Starhub Service Centre. Oh and by the way, did I tell you that its so good to be a Starhub Platinum Customer? It just took me 20 minutes (from registration to exchanging the phone) to complete the entire process.

8th attempt and counting…

By Patrick, March 3, 2010 5:32 pm

Today is the 8th time I’ve attempted my IPPT today. This has broken my all time record cause the last time, I’ve only attempted twice. I seriously doesn’t know what is happening, I’ve been doing regular training and even took supplements that was recommended, but it seems useless.

It is really stressful not able to make it through and like I mention in Facebook, my M&M is getting lower. What is M&M? It is Morale and Motivation. With just 4 more weeks to go before the end of FY, which I need to complete, there is even more stress on me that I need to clear it.

Exams Fever is ON!

By Patrick, February 28, 2010 9:17 pm

The EXAM Fever is ON! This is my final semester but I don’t know why, as compared to my previous 2 exams, I seriously can’t concentrate much. Frankly speaking, I’ve only started my reading on Saturday night. How do I concentrate when I was watching CNN, following the earthquake news in Chile? The worst thing was I only realised that its an open book exam only TODAY! Ok, all this while, I thought it was a close book exam.

I’ve got to go back to office in the morning to settle some work in the morning, so I hope I’ll be able to do some final read up when I get back home. Then on Wednesday, just before my exams at night, I’m going for my IPPT.

With so much things going on, I just hope that I’ll be able to pass my exams. Its the final one before I move on to the next chapter of my studies, please pray for me and wish me luck.

Yah! Yes! Got Difference?

By Patrick, February 25, 2010 11:26 pm

Wifey asked me the other day

Do you love me?

Then I replied

Yah…

Wifey was not happy with the answer and said that I should say Yes and not say Yah. I thought Yah and Yes had the same meaning, but wifey doesn’t agree. Anyway, the girls on my Twitter list has responded.

Starhub TVB Awards = I’ve see myself

By Patrick, February 6, 2010 1:15 am

Starhub has finally posted the official photographs for the 1st Starhub TVB Awards. I was surfing and checking out the photographs when I realise that I’m on one of the photo. Even more surprising, I just cannot believe that there were so many people behind me.

You can view the full set of official photos at Starhub website.

A record breaking month…

By Patrick, February 2, 2010 12:01 am

January is a record breaking month for the blog and my tweets. In another sign that I’m really “free”, I’ve just made a record number of tweets, well, these stats are generated based on the number of new tweets, RTs and replies. So for January, I’ve made 662 tweets!

As for the blog, because of the Starhub TVB Awards photos and videos that I’ve posted, there were 2868 visitors for January, the highest since I’ve started this blog and on 30 January, the one day visitorship was 1328.

I just want to thank everyone for their support and of course, I’ll continue to blog cause it has become a way of my life.

Special mention by Yesterday.sg on Twitter

By Patrick, January 27, 2010 11:53 pm
I was surprised to see Yesterday.sg posting a link to my blog post on my visit to Chinatown. Well, I’ve actually drop by their site and left a comment that I’ve made a post about my visit to Chinatown and didn’t expect them to broadcast to everyone via Twitter about it.

So what is Yesterday.sg all about? It is a website that talks about the heritage of Singapore and provides updates to the different heritage exhibitions going on at our museums.

If you’ve missed the post on my visit to Chinatown, you can still read it here.

Time for some reading…

By Patrick, January 16, 2010 1:15 pm

Its time for me to further explore my camera and so I zoom in to Canon shop at Vivocity yesterday to get my copy of user guide for my camera.

It gives you tips on how to take the pictures and the desired effects that you want. But still didn’t tell me how to take night shots without a tripod… Hmm, I shall look for an expert to do that.  If you guys know of how to take night shots without using a tripod, please share it with me by leaving a comment.

The iPhone Danger

By Patrick, January 11, 2010 11:55 pm
Once you start using the apps on your iPhone, you will start having problem to take your eyes away from it. You will either be busy reading news updates, facebooking or twittering. For me, as and when I’ve got alittle free time, even if its a minute, I’ll take alook at news update via Twitter or my ST or CNA apps. So when you read something interesting or decided to start posting something in Facebook or Twitter, it become dangerous.

Personally for me, I experience 2 things within minutes. I was so concentrated with my phone that I went out of the lift and realised that I was at the wrong level and next, exited the wrong door, only to realise that the door was in fact LOCKED!

One of my friend once bang the lamp post, though she was using a HTC phone while the other fell down the stairs.

What about you?

The first wedding dinner of 2010

By Patrick, January 4, 2010 10:02 pm

The first wedding dinner of 2010 and the first time I attended the dinner without knowing neither the groom or bride. Actually, I was invited by the parents and this is one of the best wedding dinner that I can ever remember. The wedding dinner was held at St Regis and in terms of ambience, it was really good. Their service standards is not bad. Like Shangri La, they had individual servings for the guest, I wouldn’t say that they give alot, but by the time you have your last dish, you will already be full then. Food presentation is excellent. The serving was slow and the dinner actually ended at midnight.

Overall, the dinner was an enjoyable one as we had a great company sitting together.

I’ve taken photo of the food served and posted on Facebook. The photos were taken from my iPhone therefore, quality is not that fantastic.
