Tiong Bahru Lor Mee

This morning, decided to head down to Tiong Bahru market for brunch with family. Surprisingly, the carpark was not full and the place itself was not crowded, maybe the morning crowd was gone. After walking around the market, I decided to try the Tiong Bahru Lor Mee. This stall usually will have a super long queue and for today, there is still a queue, but its rather short, so I decided to give it a try.

Service
There is one aunty cooking, one aunty preparing the ingredients while one lady collecting money. The one cooking was super fierce, not friendly at all.

Food
The Lor Mee is so so. The soup itself is not really that tasty and since I ordered a large one, naturally, you will expect that there is more ingredients that usual. But its not, there are only 2 pieces of 肥猪肉, a few pieces of fish cake, 1 fried wanton, 3 pieces of fried fish and a quarter boiled egg. This is definitely what I expected especially the fried wanton. What was even worst was that the fried wanton tasted just like as if I was eating the wanton skin and nothing else.

Conclusion
While queuing a the stall, I realised that they had quite a number of good reviews by local food guru, but I guess, they might have either overrated it or the standard has dropped tremendously.

2.5 out of 5 if you asked me to rate it. I don’t think I’ll ever try it again.
