Farewell dinner and lunch (Part 1)
This is a week that my lunch appointment is all filled up. I’ve got a week long of farewell lunches to attend and the best thing is, they are people from all over the organization. I’m really touched and after every farewell lunch or dinner, I’ll always feel a little hesitant to leave my department, I hold back my tears cause over the past 4 years, I’ve worked with really nice people and can’t bear to part with such nice people and my office.
Last evening, I was treated to steamboat at Bugis. My colleague J has arranged this like 2 weeks ago and it was actually plan as a get together dinner to unwind after a busy week, but I was surprised that he made it into my farewell lunch instead. As usual, my mentee, H was there as well.
This afternoon, B from another division treated me lunch. We had Secret Recipe and we talked about our experiences last week and of course, try to find out more about my new colleague. Apparently, my he knows who my new colleague is.
Anyway, there will be another 2 more farewell lunch tomorrow, one from my current dept and the other one is by the Head of another department.
