It was a bad bad day…
How could I imagine that my presentation slides were loaded wrongly yesterday! It was the first time that happened to me and I’m determined that it will be the last. Well, I’ve instructed my assistants to load the slides for me, they did not double check with me and I did not double check with them, the result, IT WAS LOADED WRONGLY and more than 60 people witness that. OMG! I quickly went back to my office to get the right slides and quickly loaded (I hope the damage control that I’ve done is able to help) but that was not the end.
Apparently, colleagues from my other department were supposed to brief on a particular topic, but they brought the wrong slides and briefed wrongly. Oh no, what had happened? So worried if its going to mark the end of my career in my current office, let’s pray hard that everything will be fine.
It was just too depressing that I almost burst into tears, in fact, I did when I was driving home alone. These days, other than lunch time, I just hope to be alone and concentrate on my work. Then get home at night and play with my kids and spend quality time with them.
I’m glad that I’m busy, at least it shows that my bosses believed in me, but what I’ve done yesterday has just disappointed them so much and of course myself.
